What subjects and levels does Canopy offer?We offer best-in-industry tuition services for Secondary Express (Sec 1-4) and Junior College (JC1 & JC2). What is the usual class size?At Canopy, we believe in tailored education and ensures that the maximum class size remains at 6-8 students per class. Indeed, these class sizes are incredibly difficult to attain since our tutors are reputable & exceptional, but we believe that this is the only way to clarify the individual doubts of our students.

What is your lesson structure?Canopy's teaching pedagogy is designed to present knowledge in the most interesting way which can be easily understood by students. While the exact pedagogy cannot be revealed, tutors are Canopy are trained to ensure there is a clear framework to approach each question that can surface on an examination so that there can be no surprises during the actual paper.

Can I ask my tutor questions after class?Consultations are FOC. Students are encouraged to arrange consultations with tutors to achieve true mastery of a particular topic. Students are also encouraged to contact tutors frequently through WhatsApp to clarify their doubts whenever they arise. At Canopy, the tutors take 80% of the responsibility when it comes to achieving content mastery. The remaining 20% can be attained with the student's efforts to clarify their doubts and complete their homework.

Will tutors go through previously taught lessons for students who joined late?Topics that students missed will be covered during revision classes which are typically held during school holidays. We highly encourage students to join early as it helps to build their foundation so that higher-level questions can be focused on during classes.

How do you ensure students stay ahead of their school curriculum?For certain subjects, students are split into their respective classes to ensure the topics taught are aligned with their school. On average, our tutors are 3 topics ahead of the school's syllabus, leaving more time for revision and tackling of Grade A questions. In fact, our tutors typically complete the syllabus 6 months before the actual examination.

How do you handle different learning styles?Upon joining, students take a diagnostic test to determine their individual weaknesses. Our tutors then adapt their teaching methods to accommodate various weaknesses and learning styles, ensuring each student understands the material effectively, regardless where they start at. What additional support do you offer outside of class?Upon request, tutors send recordings of the class for them to re-watch whenever they want. This encourages students to inculcate the habit of consistent learning as they can re-visit concepts taught whenever they want.

Do you provide resources for exam preparation?Our notes and revision sets are top-in-industry, consisting of frameworks and questions that cannot be found elsewhere. Often, students rely entirely on our notes for their revision.
